We're looking for a developer and partners ahead of our 2026 pilot.
The farmer bears the risk. Someone else takes the profit.

Meat producers lose half their revenue because they lack the tools to sell directly to the market. Norrjord is that tool.

About Norrjord

The tool that returns the margins to the producer.

Swedish meat producers can barely make ends meet as the value disappears through intermediaries. Direct sales can double their margins, but require extra work that few have the time or resources for in an already strained operation — and come with the risk of being left without a buyer if the volume doesn't sell.

Norrjord enables demand-driven direct sales where the volume is sold before slaughter. The system handles sales, admin, and logistics. If it doesn't sell in time, the producer can fall back to traditional sales channels.

Producers can double their revenue compared to today's traditional model

By removing unnecessary links in the chain, the producer keeps up to twice as much per kilo.

<50%

Sweden's self-sufficiency rate for meat — and it's declining.

Meat Farmers

Swedish meat producers bear the highest risk, the lowest margins — and more are being forced to shut down every year.

#JunkMeat

Store shelves are filled with imported meat, produced under conditions far below Swedish standards.

The systemic failure between producer and consumer is greatest in meat production — that's where we start. The same principle can eventually be applied to other land-based resources: food, beverages, forestry, and energy.

The Pilot

From idea to 50 lambs

The platform has been developed in close collaboration with a meat producer outside Harnosand — with over 30 years of experience. Real needs have shaped the solution from day one.

The pilot covers 50 lambs from farm to consumer in Vasternorrland during 2026, including a partnership with a local contract slaughterhouse.

Platform

How the platform works in practice

Norrjord is not just an idea — it's a working business system ready for pilot. Below is a limited selection of the platform's features.

Consumer view

Consumer-friendly marketplace

Consumers book their share directly from the producer through Norrjord's integrated, consumer-facing marketplace.

Roadmap

The road ahead

Q2 2026

Pilot — 50 lambs

The entire value chain is tested in live operation in Vasternorrland with our pilot producer, including production, slaughter through a local contract slaughterhouse, and full order and flow logic handling in the platform.

Q3 2026

Onboarding & peak season

Marketing and local outreach take place during the summer to connect more producers ahead of peak season. The platform is then in live operation during late summer and autumn, when slaughter and hunting yield the highest available volumes of Swedish meat.

Q4 2026

Scaling

Expansion to more regions and delivery models, with refined logistics and a growing network of producers. Marketing and ambassador programs are in active operation.

Build Norrjord with us

We're looking for people who want to build with us

Norrjord is in its early stages with a finished platform and a secured pilot. Have something to contribute? We're open to a conversation.

Senior Developer

Senior tech partner

We're looking for a senior developer or tech team who wants to take technical ownership of Norrjord. The platform is ready and in spring 2026 we're running an MVP pilot with a meat producer and approximately 50 lambs.

Norrjord is planning to bring in a small number of early-stage investors.

Our conviction

When the people who produce the food can't make a living from it, the system is broken.

A functioning society starts with a functioning food system.
